The cold season is approaching and the first calls for mulled wine are already getting louder. But from the 25th of November 2024, there will be a historic Christmas market in front of Hamburg City Hall. Lovingly decorated stalls and huts are designed to put the people of Hamburg in the Christmas spirit and make them look forward to the festive season. In addition to organic mulled wine from the Palatinate, there are all kinds of treats, both savory and sweet. Gifts can also be found at the art dealers and stalls. The Christmas market run by Roncalli has the motto "Art instead of commerce", with real Nuremberg gingerbread instead of popcorn and arts and crafts and unusual gift ideas instead of plastic stuff.
If the weather permits, thick snowflakes make things perfect and cover the entire Christmas market in a cozy, cold white - the warmth then comes from within. Thanks to its loving decorations, Hamburg's Christmas market is brimming with coziness and gets even the last Christmas grouch in the festive mood. A special highlight for children and children at heart is that Santa Claus and his reindeer pass over the heads of guests every day at 16:00, 18:00 and 20:00. A brass quartet and the Christmas parade, which take place on the four Advent Saturdays, provide even more atmosphere.
